WHAT IS W PARIS - OPERA DESIGN LAB?
This new project gave young design students the opportunity to compete for the creation of a signature cocktail glass for Bar Brûlé’s famous cocktail “Brûlé”. Two runners were selected by a professional jury composed of Christophe Mercier (General Manager of W Paris – Opera), Victoria Wilmotte (designer), Catherine St. John (Editor in Chief Lifestyle – Le Figaro), Earlwyn Covington (President of the Collective 1992, Tutor of the Design Academy Eindhoven & Curator) and Raisy Bantoo (Project Manager at SAFI, organizer of PARIS DESIGN WEEK).
Our two contestants exhibited their creations in the W Lounge from September 5th to 11th for everyone to admire.
Guillaume Savard and Jocelyn Coraboeuf created "Anthracite", while Clément Boutillon presented "Ambre".
The jury and travelers who had the chance to pass by the W lounge could vote for their favorite art piece until the winner was announced on September 11th. On this occasion, Bar Brûlé organized an event to celebrate the end of Paris Design Week.
